Prayer Pause Player silences music at prayer times. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising. This policy describes exactly what leaves your device.
What we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or microphone audio. The app never records audio; it only changes volume and audio focus.
Location
During setup the app reads the device's approximate position once and sends the coordinates to AlAdhan (aladhan.com) to calculate prayer times. It also re-reads the position when you open the app, and updates the venue only if it has moved more than about 20 km. Your location is stored on your device so the app can work offline. It is never sold, and it is not stored on any server we control. The app does not track your location in the background or over time.
Prayer times
Prayer times come from AlAdhan (aladhan.com), a free service. Requests contain the coordinates and the calculation method. No account or identifier is attached. See aladhan.com for their terms.
Analytics and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. This tells us whether prayer windows are actually running and lets us find crashes on devices we cannot inspect — a venue device may sit unattended for months. These reports include device model, operating system version, app version, a random installation identifier, and diagnostic data about failures. They do not include your location or any content you typed.
Notifications
Prayer-time notifications are scheduled on your device by the operating system. They do not require a network connection and are not sent from a server. The app also registers a Firebase messaging token so the developer can send occasional service messages. You can turn notifications off in Settings or in the system settings.
Stored on your device
Your venue location, per-prayer settings, chosen language, and up to two months of cached prayer times are stored locally so the app works without a connection. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent data. Data is shared only with AlAdhan and Google Firebase for the purposes above.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
Location permission is required, because the app cannot know which prayer times to use without it; you can revoke it in system settings at any time, and the app will stop updating the venue. You can turn off notifications at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear here and at the published address.
